The Milwaukee cityscapes will be familiar to anyone from the area—and yet a bit unfamiliar, as I shot them from a helicopter, not at street or building level. 

 

The birds-eye perspective and the compressed palette of black + white + grey give these modern scenes a dreamlike, almost nostalgic quality, as though viewed through the silvered lens of memory.
